Forklift Operator

Forklift operators will be responsible for operating gas or electric sit down forklifts while maintaining an accurate inventory of materials. They will supply production areas with materials and operate various tools and machines necessary for the job.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, hand jacks, tape measures, calculators, computers, loading docks, cranes, scales, data collection equipment, radios, and copy machines.
• Verify incoming material shipments for accuracy and check quality of materials to spot any defects.
• Receive and stock material in appropriate sector locations and conduct cycle and physical counting of all assigned materials.
• Accurately document all shipments to production areas and follow instructions for daily picking and supplying of materials to designated production areas.
• Manually place materials in specified locations, transfer materials between warehouses, and return them to stock.
• Load and unload materials from trailers and trucks.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 6+ months experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly throughout the shift and consistently move materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in inventory and material handling.
• Proficiency in loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Sun Prairie, WI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $43680.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
