Human Resources Coordinator- Part Time - Clerical

This Part-Time clerical job (between 20 and 30 hours per week) is located on-site in Scottdale, PA (Westmoreland County). Position schedule may be flexible, based on Department need, working Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Human Resources Department with daily administrative duties following all applicable company policies and procedures and performs related work as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists the department in carrying out various clerical human resources tasks such as scanning and uploading documents, processing verifications of employment, and other human resources administrative tasks. The majority of assigned tasks are completed electronically using Microsoft Office Suite, COINS ERP, or other electronic portal. Computer skills are critical for this position. Other Duties Participates in administrative staff department meetings. Administrative duties and projects, as assigned. Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred. One to three years of office/clerical support experience in human resources or related field. Construction type industry experience preferred. Language Skills Written Comprehension - the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing; the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas using various reports and other correspondence in writing. Reading Comprehension - the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, etc. Oral Comprehension - the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences, as well as the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas when speaking to individuals and groups. Mathematical Skills The ability to effectively understand and apply basic concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to effectively solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Judgement Ability to reach logical conclusions based on established evidence. Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality. Planning and Organizing Ability to plan and organize one’s own activities. Follow Up and Control Ensures that directives have been understood and carried out. Drive Demonstrates personal accomplishment and a desire to excel; sets and maintains ambitious standards for achievement and makes things happen. Takes ownership of position. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Other Skills and Abilities Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully. Physical Demands Light lifting (under 25 lbs.)
