We are currently seeking an E&S Claim Adjuster to investigate and adjust assigned Excess and Surplus Lines claims that require expertise in areas such as coverage, analysis, jurisdictional and diversity issues, litigation management, and expense exposures.

What you will do:

• Investigate assigned E&S lines claims, including initial investigation, coverage evaluation, settlement negotiation, and reserve setting within authority limits and company best practices.
• Develop litigation/file disposition strategies and direct defense counsel on litigated files.
• Provide comprehensive and timely reporting on claim status to claims management, policyholders, and independent agents.
• Recognize exposures, apply reserving philosophy, and escalate to management when necessary.
• Conduct field work such as meetings, inspections, damage assessments, and evidence documentation.
• Attend mediations and manage claims effectively to closure, coordinating with independent adjusters and vendors.

Approximately 20% travel for mediations and trials may be required. This role is hybrid at our Sarasota FL, office or one of our regional/field locations (Lawrenceville, GA; Lake Mary, FL; Carmel, IN; Richmond, VA and Richardson, TX) or can be remote within FCCI territory.

The salary range for this position is $91,389-$140,737 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications

Experience

Required

* Bachelor's Degree, or relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on year for year basis for required education. * Minimum of four years of relevant Excess and Surplus Lines Claims Experience, including handling litigated claims. * Current Adjusters License in assigned jurisdiction(s) upon hire. * Advanced knowledge of insurance claim procedures, rules, systems, and regulations. * Advanced knowledge of claim file management techniques and processes. * Advanced knowledge of the judicial and legal systems. * Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills. * Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making. * Advanced knowledge to interpret and explain Excess and Surplus Lines policies including GL, GL coverage B, Commercial Umbrella and Excess Policies.

Preferred

* AIC, CCLA, SCLA, ASLI designations or equivalent coursework/experience. * CPCU, CIC designation or equivalent.
