As a Software Engineer, AI Agents, you'll help build the next generation of AI-powered decisioning systems that combine large language models, product engineering, data infrastructure, and intelligent automation. You'll work directly with company leadership to define AI architecture, prototype new product experiences, and build production-grade AI agents used by enterprise customers. What You'll Do Design and build production-ready AI agents that help businesses automate customer engagement and marketing workflows Prototype and rapidly iterate AI-powered product experiences using modern LLMs and AI frameworks Build scalable backend systems supporting AI-powered decision making and intelligent automation Develop production-grade LLM pipelines capable of solving complex customer problems Build AI agents that analyze customer data, generate insights, and recommend business actions Work directly with the CTO and COO to prototype new AI product lines from concept through production Evaluate emerging AI models, frameworks, and methodologies to determine the best production architectures Design scalable backend services supporting AI workflows and enterprise customer data Build highly reliable production systems capable of serving enterprise-scale workloads Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to create intuitive AI-assisted user experiences Make key technical decisions around AI architecture, backend systems, and product direction Improve engineering quality, scalability, performance, and reliability across AI products Ideal Candidate Background Experience Requirements 5–12 years of software engineering experience Experience building core product features at high-growth VC-backed startups Experience shipping AI-powered production products from concept through launch Experience working in Series C–F startup environments or similarly fast-growing companies Experience building products with significant customer and business impact Demonstrated progression in ownership, technical scope, or engineering leadership Experience working as an early engineering hire or startup founder preferred Strong product mindset with demonstrated ability to build 0→1 products Technical Requirements Strong backend software engineering experience Experience building complex AI applications beyond simple RAG implementations Experience architecting production AI systems and LLM-powered applications Strong proficiency with TypeScript and modern backend development Experience designing scalable distributed backend systems Experience rapidly prototyping AI-powered products Strong understanding of LLM architectures, prompting strategies, tool calling, and AI workflows Experience evaluating AI models and selecting appropriate production architectures Strong understanding of APIs, data infrastructure, and scalable backend services Ability to design production systems balancing reliability, scalability, latency, and cost Strong engineering fundamentals across system design, architecture, and software quality Education Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field preferred Degree from a top engineering university strongly preferred Coursework or practical experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning is a plus Soft Skills Strong communication skills Excellent product intuition High ownership mentality Strong customer empathy Comfortable operating with ambiguity Highly intellectually curious Structured problem solver Self-directed and proactive Strong collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Leadership Comfortable rapidly learning new technologies Passion for AI and building customer-facing products Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $200,000 – $320,000 Competitive Equity Package Remote-First Environment Preference for Bay Area candidates for occasional in-person collaboration Visa Sponsorship Available Opportunity to define the future of AI-powered customer engagement Direct collaboration with the CTO and executive leadership High-impact ownership across AI strategy and product development Work on frontier LLM applications and AI agent systems Opportunity to influence major product lines High-performance engineering culture Rapid career growth opportunities Why Join This is an opportunity to build one of the most ambitious AI agent platforms in enterprise software.
