Job Title: Labor and Employment Attorney

Location: Remote across California

We are partnering up with a nationwide well know Labor and Employment law firm focusing exclusively on representing employers in labor and employment matters. With decades of experience, they counsel and defend management in all areas of employment law, delivering practical, strategic, and business-oriented legal solutions.

The client is currently seeking a talented Labor and Employment Attorney to join their respected and collaborative teams across California. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-quality matters while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through a flexible hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend employers in employment litigation, including wage and hour, employment class actions, and PAGA cases in state and federal courts
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings (e.g., DFEH/CRD, EEOC, DLSE)
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Advise clients on day-to-day employment law issues including wage & hour, discipline, leave laws, and workplace policies
• Draft and revise employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements
• Participate in mediations, depositions, and trial preparation
• Support partners and collaborate with the team on complex cases and client counseling

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• 2+ years of labor & employment defense experience (plaintiff-side experience will be considered if transitioning to defense)
• Experience with wage and hour, FEHA, FLSA, employment class actions, wrongful termination, discrimination, PAGA claims, etc. representing Employers.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $350,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
