Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel Sonographer for an overnight shift requiring dual certification in RDMS (AB or OB) and RVT (VT) or RVS.
Details
- Rotating shifts within Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound units
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift schedule
- Night shift coverage provided via on-call rotation from 11 PM to 7 AM shared among 7 sonographers
- Must be able to perform both General Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound studies
- Uses GE Logiq e10, Parks Flo Lab, and Trophon2 equipment
- EMR systems include Meditech and GE Centricity PACS
- Typical procedures include abdominal and OB ultrasounds (1st and 2nd trimester), biophysical profiles, vascular studies (venous doppler, arterial, grafts, segmental pressure testing), biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, testicular and NICU neuro sono imaging, and surgical case support
Requirements
- RDMS (AB) or (OB) certification required
- RVT (VT) or RVS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty
- License required if applicable
- Experience with Vascular, Pediatric, General, Procedural, and Small Parts sonography preferred
- Some OR experience a plus
Additional Information
- Perform high-level disinfection procedures for intra-cavitary probes
- Work alongside a team of 7 sonographers sharing on-call responsibilities
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- Must have no employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Strong communication skills and a positive, reliable demeanor are valued on this unit
