Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant (Elite Litigation Desk Support)

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to provide dedicated, one-to-one support to a senior litigation partner handling a demanding, high-stakes practice. This is a fast-paced, high-performance environment where precision, responsiveness, and strong judgment are critical.

The role supports a partner with a substantial caseload and a highly active docket, requiring someone who can operate with speed, accuracy, and discretion, manage competing priorities seamlessly, and consistently stay ahead of deadlines in a continuously moving workflow. This opportunity is best suited for a legal operations professional who thrives in intensity, accountability, and a culture of excellence.

This desk requires someone who is highly organized, exceptionally detail-oriented, and confident working with complex commercial litigation documents. Exposure to Labor & Employment matters is a plus.

Compensation: $110,000 – $125,000 base salary

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, revise, proofread, and format complex litigation documents with a high level of accuracy
• Prepare and electronically file documents in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with filing rules and procedures
• Create Tables of Authorities, Tables of Contents, indexes, and apply hyperlinking for court submissions
• Manage, organize, and edit PDF documents, including redactions, conversions, and formatting for filing readiness
• Reformat and update employee handbooks, policies, manuals, and related employment documentation
• Use Excel for data entry, comparison work, tracking, and litigation support analysis
• Assemble trial binders, case files, and other litigation materials with meticulous attention to detail
• Maintain attorney calendars, track deadlines, and manage complex court docket schedules
• Utilize document management systems and attorney timekeeping platforms to ensure accuracy and workflow efficiency

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary in a commercial litigation environment
• Strong understanding of litigation workflows, court rules, and filing procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including formatting and document preparation
• Experience with document management and calendaring systems
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently while supporting a demanding litigation desk
