After School ABA Therapy | Behavior Technician

Job Description

Job Description

Looking for consistent after school hours working one on one with a child?

One Step Forward is hiring an experienced Behavior Technician / ABA Therapist for an in home case in Brooklyn, NY 11204.

This is a part time opportunity during weekday afternoon and evening hours for someone who already has ABA experience and is looking for a consistent case close to home.

Pay: $25–$32 per hour based on experience

Your After School Hours Can Make a Difference

You'll work one on one with a child with autism, helping build skills that can make everyday routines, communication, play, and independence easier.

You'll follow an individualized ABA treatment plan under the supervision of a BCBA and have ongoing clinical guidance throughout the case.

What You'll Be Working On

Depending on the child's individualized goals, sessions may include:

• Communication and language development

• Social and play skills

• Independence and daily living skills

• Following routines and completing transitions

• Building appropriate replacement behaviors

• Skill acquisition programs

• Reinforcement and prompting strategies

• Behavior reduction programs

• Generalizing new skills into everyday routines

You'll collect data during each session, complete required electronic documentation, and communicate regularly with your supervising BCBA about the child's progress.

A Consistent Case, Not Random Shifts

We're looking for someone who can commit to a dependable weekly schedule during after school and evening hours.

Consistency is important for both the child and the therapist, so this is a good fit for someone who wants an ongoing case rather than changing assignments or occasional coverage.

What We're Looking For

• Previous ABA experience

• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities

• Experience as an ABA Therapist, Behavior Technician, RBT, paraprofessional, special education aide, or similar role

• Ability to follow an individualized ABA treatment plan

• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule

• Professional communication with families and the supervising BCBA

• Comfortable providing services in the child's home

Clinical Support Throughout Your Case

You'll receive ongoing BCBA supervision and clinical guidance, along with administrative support when needed.

Our goal is to give therapists the support they need while allowing them to build a strong, consistent working relationship with their client.
