Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Intermediate Intensive Care Unit – South Carolina

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. Six weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period. Self-scheduling with all time-off requests submitted at time of application.

Highlights:

• Work in a Magnet-recognized, 641-bed regional teaching medical center designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Care for adult patients including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases requiring monitoring or interventions every 1-2 hours
• Specialized equipment available including Hercules patient repositioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Manageable 21-bed unit with direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams
• Travel assignments welcome, including first-time travelers with required experience

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina or multistate RN license (must be active at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 completed travel assignment (or 3 years specialty experience for first-time travelers)
• Previous IICU/ICU experience with 1:3 acuity or higher required; progressive care settings (PCU, DOU, IMC, Stepdown) considered based on acuity
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring
• Experience with ventilator management and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• Preferred experience with trauma, neuro, surgical patients, and ventilator care
