Report to the Warehouse Manager, Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities.What a typical day looks like:Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safely manner.Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy.Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.Stages received material and product in appropriate location.Creates shipping and receiving receipts within system.Performs inspections on received material and product; documents and refuses delivery if material and product do not meet quality standards.Maintains inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments, as required.Prepares products and bills of lading for shipments; stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.Makes deliveries to customers in box truck, as needed.Performs other related duties, as assigned.The experience we're looking to add to our team:High School Diploma or equivalent2-4 years of experience in shipping and receiving or related fieldPrior experience in a manufacturing environment preferredValid California Class C Driver's License and clean driving recordAbility to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.Basic understanding of inventory and warehouse management procedures.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.Ability to operate powered equipment including a forklift and scissors lift.What the physical requirements are:Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds at a time.Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floorWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition ReimbursementJob Category: Global Procurement & Supply ChainIs Sponsorship Available?
