Counter Sales Associate

Job Description HVAC Counter Sales position is responsible for delivering seamless customer experience and supporting daily team operations. This role requires high-quality, reliable service, while demonstrating clear, positive communication with both customers and team members. This individual contributes to a collaborative work environment and applies strong industry knowledge to effectively meet customer needs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assist customers with past invoices. Ensure all billing is up to date from prior day's invoices and tickets. Quote prices and prepare counter sales orders. Determine the make, type, quality and availability of desired merchandise and make suggestions that meet the customer’s needs. Enter proper information to generate accurate invoices for pick up or delivery. Accurately locate and pick products for order fulfillment. Estimate date of deliveries based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules. Assess and determine warranty items while ensuring adherence to manufacturer policies and meeting the specific needs of each customer. File warranties for customers to ensure they receive credit for said items in a timely manner. Keep accurate notes of all interactions and organize paperwork appropriately. Stock, clean, and maintain showroom. Schedule warehouse transfers as needed. Other retail warehouse duties assigned as needed. Preferred Skills HVAC experience in relation to parts and equipment (Required) Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication. Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity. Able to lift 50 pounds and operate a forklift. Able to pass a drug test and background screening. Education High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Working Conditions Primarily based at the interior retail sales counter with regular movement into warehouse or stock areas to assist with inventory and customer pickups. This position requires frequent standing and walking throughout the shift and around the property, with regular lifting of products and materials up to 50 lbs total without assistance. There may be occasional use of ladders, pallet jacks, or hand trucks (training provided as needed) with some exposure to temperature fluctuations when assisting with curbside pickups or entering warehouse areas.
