Material Handler

We are currently hiring for Material Handlers in the Anoka area.

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for picking, transporting, and delivering materials throughout the warehouse to support production operations. This role involves extensive walking, order picking, inventory support, and operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, tuggers, and lifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and stage parts and materials for production orders
• Transport materials using pallet jacks, carts, pallets, and tuggers
• Operate cherry pickers and lifts to retrieve inventory from elevated storage locations
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory replenishment
• Walk up to 5 miles (10,000+ steps) per day
• Learn and become certified on stand-up forklifts
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of recent warehouse experience
• Experience with material handling, order picking, stocking, or shipping
• Comfortable working at heights and operating lifts/cherry pickers
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day and remain on your feet throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (most lifts are 20-30 lbs.)
• Comfortable working in steel-toe footwear
• Basic reading and writing skills for work orders and inventory documentation
• Willingness to learn warehouse equipment including stand-up forklifts and tuggers
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in large warehouse operations
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, stocking, and order picking processes
• Experience using tuggers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment

Pay & Schedule

1st Shift

• Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• $20.00/hr
• Mandatory overtime as needed

2nd Shift

• Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• $22.25/hr
• Mandatory overtime as needed

3rd Shift

• Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• $22.00/hr
• Mandatory overtime as needed

Weekend Shift

• Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• $22.85/hr
• Work 36 hours in 3 days

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.85/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
