In this role, you'll oversee the planning, design, and execution of highway infrastructure projects that strengthen transportation networks and support the evolving needs of communities and agencies. Working closely with clients, technical specialists, and project stakeholders, you'll help drive project success from pursuit and planning through design and delivery while contributing your expertise on impactful transportation initiatives.This position offers fully remote capabilities; however, occasional on-site responsibilities may be required if you are located near the listed CHA offices.What You'll Do:Lead proposal development and establish project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with multidisciplinary transportation project teamsServe as the primary client partner, building trusted relationships and ensuring project goals are achieved from planning through completionDevelop project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and direct project planning and coordination efforts across highway, rail, traffic, structural, and environmental disciplinesManage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, agency coordination, and quality control processes to support successful project executionOversee project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue, and resource managementLead contract administration, consultant coordination, and project documentation throughout all phases of deliveryFacilitate project meetings and provide timely progress updates to clients and internal stakeholdersSupport marketing efforts, help identify new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of CHA’s Highway & Rail portfolioWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management or related field requiredMinimum of 9 years of industry experience required, including 6 years of project management experience Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, understanding contract requirements, and overseeing multiple concurrent projectsExperience with CTDOT requiredProven experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents requiredExperience managing project accounting processes—including forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow—required Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Vantagepoint preferredProven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environmentAbility to solve problems independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills with the ability to adapt style for various audiencesAbility to travel as needed requiredPMP certification, PE (Professional Engineer) or equivalent professional license preferredConsulting industry experience highly preferredWhy You'll Love It Here:Lead transformative transportation projects that improve safety, mobility, and connectivity for communities across the regionPartner with transportation planners, engineers, environmental specialists, and infrastructure experts to deliver complex, multidisciplinary solutionsBuild long-term relationships with clients, transportation agencies, and key stakeholders while helping shape future infrastructure investmentsCurious about the impactful work our Highway & Rail team is doing?
