Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain 600 and 2000 ton press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to precise blueprints and job orders. Load material, change dies, and adjust machine settings to meet specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine correct bending angles, tooling, and machine parameters. Use overhead crane and rigging skills to safely move and position large metal pieces (up to 20 ft long) from staging areas to the press brake. Perform first-part inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet quality standards. Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors by conducting risk assessments, identifying safety hazards, and strictly following all safety protocols including the use of PPE. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience operating large manual press brakes (600 and 2000 ton) and forming metal parts without CNC assistance. Proficiency in using overhead cranes and rigging for material handling. Strong commitment to safety and ability to perform risk assessments independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in press brake operation or similar metal fabrication roles. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and quality control techniques. Willingness to learn and adapt in a team-oriented industrial environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work hours are Monday to Friday from 4 AM to 12:30 PM, with some Saturdays from 4 AM to 10:30 AM. The position involves working in an outdoor welding yard. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
