Occupational Therapist Position
Seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to provide in-person support for students ranging from Kindergarten through high school. This contract opportunity is conveniently located near Fort Lauderdale, FL, and is designed to cover a maternity leave from April 13th, 2026, through the end of the school year. Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Florida
- Previous experience working in K-12 school environments preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers and school staff across multiple grade levels: Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and high school
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Flexible and adaptableopen to part time or full time schedules
- Ability to work in person; open to some hybrid days as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect OT services to students across grade levels, targeting functional independence and academic participation
- Develop individualized therapy plans and collaborate on IEP teams
- Evaluate student needs and track measurable progress
- Communicate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Adapt therapy approaches to support diverse student needs
