Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid Potential After Initial Period) / San Antonio, TX (Remote) About the Opportunity A well-established litigation-focused law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial / Real Estate Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigator who enjoys handling sophisticated disputes, working directly with clients, and taking ownership of complex matters from inception through resolution. The firm provides attorneys with the opportunity to work on high-value commercial disputes, real estate conflicts, construction matters, and business litigation while maintaining a balanced workload through a reasonable billable requirement and a strong compensation structure. This role offers meaningful client exposure, autonomy, and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced attorneys on complex litigation matters. Reasonable annual billable requirement of 1,600 hours . Strong bonus structure with potential earnings up to $80,000 . Initial in-office collaboration period with potential hybrid flexibility for high-performing attorneys. Opportunity to work directly with clients and take ownership of litigation strategy. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial and real estate litigation matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda. Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. Handle disputes involving: Business and contract disputes Property-related litigation Develop litigation strategies and provide legal guidance to clients. Collaborate with partners and legal teams while independently managing a caseload. Analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions for clients. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the applicable State Bar. 5+ years of civil litigation experience. Strong commercial litigation experience required. Construction litigation experience is a plus. Real estate transactional experience is beneficial but not required. Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters. Location & Work Schedule Houston, TX preferred. In-office schedule for the first 6 months. High-performing attorneys may transition to a hybrid schedule after 6 months. Remote consideration for exceptional candidates located in San Antonio or outside the Austin area. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 – $180,000 . Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
