Bilingual Safety Manager

Location: Sites throughout Northern California About the Construction Company / The Opportunity: Our client is a leading provider in the construction industry, known for its commitment to safety and operational excellence across commercial building projects. This role offers an opportunity to take ownership of safety management and cultural change within a dynamic construction environment. You'll collaborate with project managers, field teams, and senior leadership, having a direct impact on ensuring compliance, driving accountability, and safeguarding people throughout varied and high-risk sites. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all site safety planning, job safety analyses (JSAs), and pre-task planning. Conduct routine and unannounced site inspections to ensure full compliance with regulations and standards. Coach and collaborate with field teams, particularly on safe practices for working at heights and other high-risk tasks. Deliver comprehensive safety training, including OSHA 10/30, CPR, Fall Protection, Forklift, and PPE usage. Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures. Ensure compliance with OSHA, California safety laws, and internal protocols. Support proactive safety planning for projects through thorough hazard analysis. Maintain accurate safety documentation using Salesforce or similar tracking tools. Must-Have Skills: Minimum 5 years' experience as a Safety Coordinator or Manager in commercial construction. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and California state standards. Experience working with crews performing high-risk tasks, particularly at heights. OSHA 500 Certification. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong communication and leadership skills with a proactive, hands‑on approach. Nice-to-Have Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Safety, Engineering, or related field. Commercial roofing or similar high-risk construction environment experience.
