Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX.The Processing, Guidance & Control (PG&C) Center, within the Systems Engineering Directorate, consists of Signal Processing, Guidance, Navigation and Control as well as Modeling, Simulation Analysis (MSA) disciplines. PG&C delivers key technologies to our effector programs portfolio. The MSA teams are responsible for product-level simulations that help us design, develop, verify, and validate our products and capabilities. Our simulations model the components and subsystems that make up our designs, and the world our products interact with.This is an Entry Level Role onsite in Tucson, AZWhat You Will Do:As a Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Systems Engineer II, you will create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of modeling solutions and subsequently conduct trade studies and evaluation of system and subsystem performance. You will work in a team environment, receiving input from the team supervisors and providing guidance and/or direction to other team members. You will collaborate with Guidance, Navigation & Control, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulation activities according to the program schedule. You will work on projects, determine, and develop approaches and solutions, and provide development guidance throughout the product lifecycle from initial concept to fielded product. You will provide technical expertise for the simulation products of a specific program and assist Senior Modeling Engineers in the preparation of detailed plans and may interact with government counterparts as an authority on simulation products. You will develop documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications You Must HaveMaster's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, (STEM) obtained by start dateExperience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB and Python for evaluation of data setsExperience developing or simulating physical systemsExperience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutionsExperience may be obtained through job experience, research, coursework or projectsQualifications We PreferLeadership experience managing others using applied system engineering principles, experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefingsExperience developing signal processing / GNC algorithms or models for missile applicationsExperience with Control Hardware Design and Test, hardware/software integration, modeling physics and physical systems as related to flight dynamicsExperience using UNIX/Linux based workstations and using Software Configuration Management toolsCourse work or experience in some of the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, radar and/or EO/IR environment models, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture, inertial navigation, guidance theoryWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
