Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other holiday and weekend required. No on-call duties are involved.

This position is within a blended Medical-Surgical unit, incorporating a robust Swing Bed Program, as well as occasional care for patients requiring Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level services. Nurse assignments are balanced based on the workload and level of care required by patients. Patient-to-nurse ratios are structured as follows:

• 1:5 for Medical-Surgical patients
• 1:5-6 for Swing Bed patients
• 1:3-4 for PCU patients, dependent on the presence of drips

If the nurse has a solely Medical-Surgical background, assignments will be managed effectively by supervisory staff. The unit promotes a culture of engagement with team members actively participating in various committees.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS certification
