Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crane & Hoist Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment and technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all crane and hoisting equipment within our facility. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all crane and hoisting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify any potential issues or hazards and take appropriate action to rectify them.
• Comply with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including the proper use of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Train other staff members on the safe and efficient operation of crane and hoisting equipment.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and repair records.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Crane & Hoist Technician in the manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of crane and hoist systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and safety procedures, particularly lockout/tagout.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair technical issues with crane and hoisting equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in crane and hoist operation or maintenance would be highly regarded.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning new technologies and skills.
