Schedule

3x12's (Nights: 5:00pm - 5:30am), Work 6 days in a 7-day period, off 7 days.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited MLT/CLS or MT/MLS program.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Applied Science, or a chemical, physical, or biological science discipline.
• Current ASCP or AMT certification required.
• 1 to 3 months of related laboratory experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains, receives, processes, analyzes, and reports accurate laboratory specimen results.
• Performs laboratory testing in various disciplines such as Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Blood Gas, and Phlebotomy.
• Recognizes abnormal test results and refers critical values to the Pathologist when required.
• Performs and documents quality control procedures and follows quality assurance guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with infection control practices, universal precautions, and safety regulations.
• Communicates respectfully and professionally with patients, families, providers, and staff.
