SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Interim Senior Accountant - Manufacturing
Location: Bergen County, NJ (On-site)
Compensation: $40-$55/hour (depending on experience)
Duration: Interim / Contract (with potential for extension)

Overview:
A well-established manufacturing company in Bergen County is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to support the accounting team during a transitional period. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly step in to manage key accounting functions with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
  
• Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  
• Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes
  
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
  
• Assist with inventory accounting and cost analysis within a manufacturing environment
  
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests
  
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies
  
• Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  
• Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or standard costing is a plus
  
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
