Do you have a passion for helping food insecure community members access fresh and nourishing foods? We are hiring an Interim Executive Director while our current ED is on maternity leave. The ED oversees the day to day operations of our small food shelf and thrift store, as well as administrative and development tasks. This is an 8 month temporary position starting at the end of October 2026. Skills Required: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; strong ethical values and dedication to the food shelf's mission. Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly. Comfortable using Google Workspace software (spreadsheets and documents), QuickBooks, and Givebutter database. Experience managing employees and/or volunteers. Self-motivated, able to work independently. Experience working with and reporting to a Board of Directors. Categories Food Bank / pantry / shelf Food Access and Nutrition Compensation and Benefits Average Weekly Time Commitment, Pay Rate and Benefits: Position is an 8 month 24 hour/week position from the end of October 2026 until July 2027. Semi-flexible hybrid work schedule - expectation to physically be present during open hours of the store and food shelf, as well as food order pick ups on Thursdays and some Tuesday mornings.
