Financial Operations Manager

Pharos Admin Services · Skilled Nursing · Assisted Living · Hybrid · Full Time

About Pharos Admin Services

Pharos Admin Services provides specialized administrative services to Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Assisted Living (AL) Operators (referred to internally as Banners). We serve as the operational and financial backbone for our Banner partners, giving them the infrastructure and strategic support they need to focus on delivering excellent resident care. Our Financial Operations team is central to that mission, working directly alongside Banner leadership every day.

Role Summary

The Financial Operations Manager is a high-impact individual contributor who functions as the financial accountability partner to the Banner Operational Managers. This role carries dual accountability: serving as a financial partner who owns the P&L review and budgeting cycles, and as a trusted relationship manager who is the face of Pharos to Banner operators on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, operationally curious, has a strong financial acumen, and naturally relationship oriented. They are comfortable moving between financial models and executive conversations, and they bring credibility and communication skills to influence outcomes across a portfolio of Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living locations.

Key Responsibilities

Accountability Partner

The Fin Ops Manager is the primary financial accountability partner to the Banner Operating Managers. Core responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Key Factor Review (KFR) process
  • Leading the P&L review process: verifying accuracy with Accounting, AP, and Revenue Cycle teams; driving review meetings; ensuring completion of variance worksheets; documenting takeaways and action items; and distributing post meeting summaries to the CEO, RDO, and executive leadership
  • Driving the annual and periodic budgeting process: collecting historical data, modeling known future changes, building budgets aligned with operational realities and financial targets, recommending adjustments to hit EBIT goals, and supporting budget compliance initiatives
  • Providing financial leadership and analytical support across census development strategies, supplemental revenue programming compliance, quality assurance programming, labor reviews, and expense management reviews
  • Delivering ongoing data analysis, reporting insights, and actionable plans that directly influence EBIT
  • Co-leading and support cross-functional projects including planning, implementation, and monitoring phases in collaboration with the broader Financial Operations team

Relationship Manager

The Fin Ops Manager is the primary liaison between Pharos and the Banner Operator, responsible for building and sustaining a high trust partnership. Core responsibilities include:

  • Participating in weekly Banner operations meetings to represent Pharos and relay critical information back to the Pharos team
  • Troubleshooting Pharos Banner issues to ensure optimal utilization of Pharos tools and resources
  • Providing ad hoc support and training on Financial Operations tools and software
  • Conducting routine check-ins with Banner executive leadership to ensure strategic objectives are being met
  • Developing and maintaining a standardized reporting package for Banner executive leadership
  • Responding to external reporting requests from lenders, partners, and asset managers

Qualifications

Required

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in financial analysis, financial operations, or a closely related field; post-acute care experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with skilled nursing facility reimbursement structures (e.g. Medicaid/Medicare, Managed Care, CMS VBP, CMMI Initiatives, ISNP, and other long-term care financial frameworks)
  • Solid foundation in P&L analysis, budgeting, and variance reporting
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify what matters in data and communicate it clearly to operational and executive audiences
  • Natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly and sustains it over time with operator and executive partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort facilitating cross functional meetings and presenting to senior leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial or BI reporting tools
  • Highly organized and self-directed, capable of managing multiple operator relationships and competing priorities simultaneously

Preferred

  • Experience with financial or operational tools used in SNF or post-acute settings
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • Hybrid work model with flexibility built in
  • Direct visibility to executive leadership from day one
  • A collaborative, mission driven team focused on measurable impact for skilled nursing operators
  • Room to grow within a scaling organization that values initiative and ownership

If you are someone who combines financial precision with the ability to build genuine partnerships, and you want a role where both skills matter equally, this is it.

We'd love to hear from you.
