Job Description:

Pump repair facility in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist. Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates manually controlled machines. Skilled precision in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and modification of rotating equipment.

Job Duties:

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, rotary table, band saw, broaches, radial arm drill and a variety of cutting tools.
• Operates manual Machines to manufacture new part's such as pump shafts, wear rings, Bushings, stuffing boxes and other parts for various types of rotating equipment.
• Ability to to machine different types of metals, plastics and composits.
• ·Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
• Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Evaluate procedures and recommend change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production.
• Ability to track parts and jobs.
• Utilizes and abides Quality/safety requirements and procedures.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Bore and sleeve bearing housings.
• Repair shafts and bearing journals.
• Other Duties may apply.

• Manual Machining: 2 years (Required)

• Phoenix, AZ 85040: Relocate after starting work (Required)
