Cost Accountant

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Noblesville area, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This position offers the opportunity to partner closely with operations, supply chain, production, and leadership teams while having a direct impact on manufacturing performance and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of inventory, standard costing, and month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities Analyze and report manufacturing costs including materials, labor, and overhead Monitor standard costs and investigate cost variances Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and physical inventories Reconcile inventory and support month-end close activities Prepare plant profitability and cost reporting Track and analyze inventory adjustments and purchase price variances (PPV) Maintain BOMs, routings, and cost structures within the ERP system Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Collaborate with operations and plant leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities Assist with year-end audit requirements and special projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of cost accounting experience Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis Advanced Excel skills ERP experience required Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing industry experience Work-in-Process (WIP) accounting experience Experience with BOMs, inventory costing, and production reporting Experience using Power BI or SSRS reporting tools Exposure to ERP implementations or integrations Health Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr
