Fleet Mechanic III

Fleet Mechanic - Holland, MI

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans and forklifts. Disassembles and overhauls motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems. Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records. Manage ordering and inventory of parts. Shift and schedule Monday-Friday 1st shift 6am 2:30pm or when the work is complete. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Total rewards: Pay starting at $34.10 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $35.92 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary. Requirements: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred. 1 year or more of mechanic experience on a fleet. Must be able to work on all types of vehicles (diesel trucks, electric and propane forklift, etc...). Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Able to supply your own set of tools to perform the job. Willing and able to acquire the necessary certifications and licenses needed for the position within the first year of employment to include: ASE Heavy and Medium duty certification, DOT Commercial Driver's License (CDL A), DOT brake and annual inspection certification, and A/C certification.
