Job Title: Chemist - ENTRY LEVEL

Environmental services company in Inglewood is seeking a dedicated entry-level Chemist to join our team and contribute to our laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in chemistry, with a focus on analytical techniques and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Collect and test compounds and samples following permit requirements using applied methods and techniques.
• Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software.
• Perform QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by permit and follow all approved Laboratory SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in GMP and analytical chemistry.
• Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Experience with inventory control for lab reagents.
• Ability to maintain samples and instruments and perform data entry.
• Familiarity with analytical equipment usage and associated filing and administrative activities.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC and GCMS.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a laboratory setting. Our organization values employees as our most important asset and strives to create a positive work culture that fosters growth and development while ensuring employee health and safety. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 6 AM and ending at 2:30 PM. After initial training, hours may shift slightly later to begin around 8 AM. The role requires adherence to a lab-focused environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Inglewood, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
