Social Media ManagerThe Social Media Manager is responsible for managing Athey Creek's social media channels — including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, and email marketing — and for the day-to-day content and community management that drives our online reach. Because our digital platforms serve as a front door to the church for many people, this role requires more than social media expertise: it requires a deep understanding of Athey Creek's voice, values, and theological distinctives, and a genuine heart to care for people online, not just grow an audience. This is not a marketing strategy or paid advertising role. The ideal candidate is someone with proven platform knowledge, strong content instincts, and the ability to build and lead a volunteer team — all in service of helping people connect with the ministry of Athey Creek.Required Experience & KnowledgeAgree to ACC's doctrinal distinctives and vision as found in our What We Believe/Vision StatementFulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scriptureDemonstrated ability to communicate in a way that reflects the tone, values, and theological commitments of Athey Creek ChurchExperience building and executing social media content calendarsHigh-level time management skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong attention to detailExperience in writing, editing, and proofreading content for web and social media channelsExperience growing an engaged audience on social media channels (including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, and email marketing)5+ years of experience as a Social Media Manager or web content management through various content systemsExpertise in multiple social media platformsStrong understanding of design concepts and visual principles with a pulse for current trends and techniquesWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and project management software (ClickUp preferred) is a plusDuties & ResponsibilitiesManage and publish content across all ACC social platforms — Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, and email marketing — including text, images, and videoBuild and maintain a social media content calendar, including campaigns, partnerships, and platform-specific strategyOversee community management on all channels, including timely responses to comments and direct messagesManage content on the ACC website, app, and YouTube channelRecruit, develop, and train a digital volunteer team to assist with posting, responses, and engagementCoordinate with departments across the church to develop content for social platforms and special eventsPartner with subcontractors for video and photography, and oversee the execution of those projectsTrack key metrics and analytics, report to leadership monthly, and adjust strategy accordinglyStay current on platform changes, trends, and best practicesParticipate in weekly staff meetings and special events as neededEngage as part of a team with ACC staff, always being edifying to one anotherMaintain regular attendance at Athey Creek Church, including participation in worship services with your family, as a condition of employmentAll other duties as assignedSchedule: Tuesday – SundayHours: 40 hours per week
