Job Title Travel nurse RN Oncology Location Frederick, MD Assignment Details Start Date: 07/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour nights) Shift: 3x12‑hour nights (19:00-07:30) with rotating holidays and weekends Employment Type: Travel Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse to join a 12‑bed unit specializing in Oncology, Thoracic, and Bariatric surgery. The candidate will provide compassionate care, adhere to treatment protocols, manage complex patient needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Administer chemotherapy and manage treatment regimens. Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to treatments. Educate patients and their families regarding cancer care and management. Provide care for diagnoses including breast cancer, lung cancer, and multiple myeloma. Perform necessary procedures such as managing chest tubes and handling central lines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, including IV teams and social services, to support patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum 2 years experience in an Oncology setting. Chemotherapy certification required (ONS/ONCC). BLS certification required. Current RN license in VA or compact license. Preferred: Experience using Meditech charting system. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance.
