The Carmelite System is a multi-state not-for-profit senior living organization sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters of the Aged & Infirm. The Carmelite Sisters operate a network of skilled nursing facilities throughout the United States.

We are seeking to hire a Regional Director of Business Development .

• $140K to $150K annually based on skills and experience.

Regional Director of Business Development Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, nursing or related field.
• Clinical background or healthcare administration experience.
• Five years of experience in healthcare sales, admissions, business development, marketing, or referral relationship management.
• Multi-site leadership experience in nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or post-acute care and established relationships with hospitals, health systems, managed care organizations, and senior-care referral networks in the assigned market.
• Success driving census, admissions, revenue, or referral growth goals across multiple locations.
• Valid driver’s license.

Regional Director of Business Development Job Summary:

• Develop and execute regional business development strategies to increase qualified referrals, admissions, census, and market share.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, health systems, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, accountable care organizations, managed care partners, and community referral sources.
• Partner with Administrators, admissions teams, clinical leaders, and regional leadership to align growth initiatives with home capabilities and service lines.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, payer dynamics, referral patterns, and community needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Coach, train, and support facility-level admissions, marketing, and liaison teams to improve referral conversion, customer service, and outreach effectiveness.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of referral activity, sales calls, contacts, and follow-up actions in the organization’s tracking system (Exacare).
