Housekeeper (FPY)

Description Essential Functions:
Qualifications:
- Responsible for the direct cleaning of the Lake Anna YMCA, such as cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, trash removal, window cleaning, picking up trash/spills, etc., floor cleaning and maintenance, in all areas of the Y.
- Follows cleaning checklist for all areas of the building on a daily basis
- Responsible for communicating and submitting to supervisor inventory and supplies needed to maintain the building
- Organize, clean and maintain storage area for the cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain a clean and positive image along with YMCA attire/uniform
- Maintain communication with all staff via in person and / or through work orders that are developed
- Interact with staff and members in a positive manner and create a team atmosphere
- Develop an understanding and commitment to the Annual Campaign
- Other duties as assigned by the Properties Manager and/or Executive Director
- Mission Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Y's values. Demonstrates a desire to serve others and fulfill community needs. Recruits volunteers and builds effective, supportive working relationships with them. Supports fund-raising.

Establishes goals, clarifies tasks, plans work and actively participates in meetings. Follows budgeting policies and procedures, and reports all financial irregularities immediately. Strives to meet or exceed goals and deliver a high-value experience for members.
- Personal Growth: Pursues self-development that enhances job performance. Demonstrates an openness to change, and seeks opportunities in the change process. Accurately assesses personal feelings, strengths and limitations and how they impact relationships. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate verbally to groups and individuals
- Must be able to physically perform scope of job
- Must possess some degree of computer literacy
- Clean and attractive building
- Add to the creation of a Properties Department that accomplishes the goals and objectives of the YMCA and operates efficiently
- Complete all other jobs as assigned by Supervisor
