We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Operator to join our team in New Albany. This critical role is responsible for fulfilling orders, including order entry, administration, and shipping activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Operator Location: New Albany, OH Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm Payrate: $20/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare orders for shipping: verify information and quantities, assemble boxes or wooden crates, and enclose appropriate documentation.
• Receive shipments: inspect and verify incoming material, ensure correct delivery, and maintain storage.
• Process all SAP and KIS shipping transactions; handle shipments through online logistics brokers.
• Conduct cycle counts and prepare international shipment documentation.
• Communicate any shipment discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
• Handle and process return shipments.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor; overtime as required.
• Adhere to all plant safety rules, OSHA regulations, and correct PPE usage.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent analytical and math skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of packaging procedures; experience with power tools for creating/modifying shipping containers.
• Familiarity with Bills of Lading and other shipping documents is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift/carry up to 33 lbs. and perform repetitive movements.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Must demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and stoop as needed.
• Work in a temperature-controlled industrial environment with dust/mist collection systems and some exposure to noise.
• Use of proper PPE, including safety glasses, metatarsal-protected shoes, and cut-resistant gloves as required.
