Senior Customer Engineer

Salary: $90,663 - 90,663 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline. We expect at least 5 years of telecommunications experience. We need a strong foundation in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, and VLAN. We look for working knowledge of Wi-Fi 7/8, 5G NR, PON architectures such as GPON and XGS-PON, and DOCSIS. We value hands-on familiarity with Wi-Fi routers, access points, and mesh network hardware design. We prefer experience with open software development platforms such as prpl, RDK-B, and OpenWRT. We look for proficiency with diagnostic and performance tools such as Wireshark, Iperf, and IxChariot. We seek experience with AI technologies. We require strong technical writing ability for guides, FAQs, and internal knowledge resources. We expect willingness to travel up to 25%. We require the ability to work in person. Responsibilities: We handle incoming technical questions and FAQs, managing tickets from creation through tracking and escalation. We support the setup, configuration, and upkeep of customer premises equipment, including 5G FWA, residential gateways, Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh systems. We use tools such as Wireshark to troubleshoot network issues and diagnose faults. We develop test plans for CPE and apply them to validate performance and functionality. We apply core networking principles to resolve everyday technical challenges. We communicate issues and findings clearly to engineering teams so firmware and product fixes can be delivered promptly. We share customer needs and market input with Sales and Business Development to help shape product direction. We identify opportunities to improve processes by applying best practices across engineering disciplines. We translate complex technical topics into practical guidance for stakeholders and provide informal support to junior team members. We take ownership of our individual contributions and ensure high-quality first-level support.
