Details Position is based in a hospital Medicine Specialty Unit (Med/Surg Tele) Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) Med/Surg and Stepdown patient population Level 1 trauma experience preferred 13-week contract Requirements Active OK RN license or valid Compact (eNLC) RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required Med/Surg and/or Stepdown experience required Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, including documentation of responses to nursing interventions and physician orders Monitors and responds to physiological data; administers medications, IV infusions, and blood products Assists physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning; delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, medical documents) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and set dates will not be adjusted Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) of prior service American Traveler Job ID #P-722320.
