PSC Phlebotomist

Position LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team at Birmingham, AL. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:15am - 3:15pm, with a 1-hour lunch. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments as necessary Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Benefits Employees scheduled 20+ hours/week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan Employees scheduled Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO/FTO Phlebotomists may be eligible for a PST Incentive Plan, paying a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Equal Opportunity Employer Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer...
