Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Insight Global is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Testing (SDET) to support an enterprise-wide modernization initiative within the Analytics & Behavioral Change organization at a large healthcare company. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where engineers will work from an established roadmap and independently deliver on assigned testing efforts.


In this role, the SDET will primarily test queries and scripts written in SQL, Python, and Java within an Azure Databricks environment, supporting a microservices-based architecture.


The team operates in an agile model, organized into cross-functional squads that include data engineers, full-stack engineers, and captains responsible for gathering and translating requirements. Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of software development experience with advanced skills writing complex SQL queries and Python code
- Experience leveraging any Automation tool for testing (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc)
- Experience leveraging AI to improve testing scripts, use cases, and delivery
- Demonstrates high level of ownership, curiosity, and motivation
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with agile teams and product managers
