Lead AI Engineer, Business Operations

Salary: $125,000 - 175,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• We are looking for 5+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, with a strong full-stack background including backend services, API design, system integration, and data infrastructure.
• We need recent hands-on experience designing and delivering AI or LLM-enabled systems in production.
• We expect experience building solutions from the ground up and owning them through deployment, observability, testing, and long-term reliability.
• We value experience with AI development practices, including model selection, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and knowing when each approach is most appropriate.
• We require proficiency in Python and experience with cloud platforms.
• We are seeking someone who has mentored engineers and provided technical direction across multiple initiatives.
• We need strong communication skills for working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• We establish the architectural patterns, evaluation methods, and deployment standards for our AI Enablement team.
• We evaluate orchestration frameworks, recommend models, define deployment approaches, and decide where managed platforms should end and custom development should begin.
• We collaborate with the AI Enablement Manager and business units to improve operational processes and translate strategy into technical plans and buildable work.
• We own solutions end to end, including technical planning, architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, iteration, and continuous improvement.
• We build and maintain monitoring, evaluation, and regression detection capabilities to keep production agents dependable over time.
• We implement logging, performance benchmarking, and feedback loops to detect drift early.
• We partner with data governance to ensure our solutions meet compliance, data quality, and operational requirements.
