We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who lives and breathes React and TypeScript — someone who takes ownership of features end-to-end, cares deeply about the user experience, and isn't afraid to venture into the backend when it helps the team ship better.The RoleYou own frontend development of our consumer-facing web products, from architecture and design decisions through to production delivery. You're accountable for building maintainable, scalable React/TypeScript applications that handle real financial transactions. You work across the stack — mentoring the team on frontend patterns, occasionally contributing backend code when it unblocks the team, and partnering with Product and Design to ship features users actually care about.Your Responsibilities Will BeShip impactful features every week, unblocking Product and Design to move fast without accumulating tech debtOwn and continuously improve the architecture and performance of our products — from code structure to app speed to service reliabilityMonitor production systems closely and lead swift, thoughtful responses when issues ariseTechnical Leadership & StandardsModel the technical practices, code quality, and ownership mindset you expect from the team — your code is your teachingRaise the bar across the team and beyond — in code reviews, architectural conversations, and collaboration with other squadsDrive cross-team technical collaboration, ensuring Frontend, Backend, and Platform teams align on standards and share solutionsFull-Stack CollaborationUnblock the team by understanding and occasionally contributing to Backend code — you bridge Frontend and Backend, reading Java when needed and writing it when it helps ship fasterPartner closely with Backend engineers on API design, data flow, and performance — you come with opinions rooted in user experienceCollaborate with Product and Design from discovery through delivery, respectfully challenging assumptions when needed to keep shipping simple, impactful featuresQuality & ObservabilitySet and maintain high standards for testing — unit, integration, and end-to-end — so the team ships with confidenceEstablish monitoring and observability practices that let us catch and fix issues fast, not after users notice themOwn performance budgets and optimization — you ensure the app stays fast and reliable for real users, including on slower networksYou'll Be Successful In This Role IfYou have 5+ years of experience building production React/TypeScript web applicationsYou take genuine ownership — you don't wait to be told what to do, you find problems and fix themYou're comfortable working across the stack: you might be a frontend-first engineer, but you're not afraid of a Java codebase when the situation calls for itYou write code that others can understand, extend, and be proud ofYou have experience with modern React patterns — state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar), performance optimisation, testing, and component architectureYou've worked in a product team before and understand what it means to balance feature velocity with technical qualityYou communicate clearly — in code reviews, in design discussions, and in a cross-functional team where not everyone speaks the same technical languageNice to HaveExperience with React Native — teams we collaborate with includes mobile, and engineers who can move between web and mobile are particularly valuableHands-on backend experience (Node.js, Java/Spring) — especially if you've owned an API layer or a BFFFintech, payments, or regulated product experience — you understand what it means to build software where errors have financial consequencesExperience with micro-frontend architectures, CI/CD pipelines, or design systemsFamiliarity with AI-assisted development workflowsYour Language ProfileEnglish: Professional working proficiency (required)Why EpassiMeaningful product: You're not building another ad tech tool.
