Qualifications:

• Valid Teaching Certifications: Texas Generalist and Special Education (must have both)
• Certification to teach EC-6th grade in Special Education, all levels required
• Experience or strong interest in self-contained classroom environments focused on life skills
• Strong dedication to individualized instruction and inclusive education

Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained classroom for students with significant learning or life skills needs
• Develop and carry out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Implement adapted curriculum and behavior strategies
• Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to promote student growth
• Document progress and maintain compliance with all requirements
