See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club training team, the Instructor trains and onboards our club members through virtual classroom and on-the-water training. We are looking for customer-focused and friendly US Coast Guard Captains.This position is temporary/seasonal (ends in October/November) and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:Greet and welcome new membersOrganize and effectively conduct member classroom and on the water training on various skill, policy, and compliance areasIdentify areas in which additional training is required and/or beneficialRecord training certifications in Reservation systemProfessional appearance and uniform requiredHandle minor member mishaps or incidents while maintaining friendly dispositionRed Carpet level of treatment to members and guestsSpeak with potential members about the ClubAdhere to all safety policiesDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:US Coast Guard Captains LicenseMust be willing to take a drug screenValid driver’s license and good driving recordBoating experience in or around boatsVision adequate to read / manipulate handheld computer tabletsElectronics knowledge & utilization (Smartphone/tablet)Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activityMaintain a cooperative, team attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employeesHighly effective communications skills and friendly customer serviceProfessional communication skills with co-workers, corporate, and membersMust be a self-starter and capable of working unsupervisedHigh attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:Previous instructor experience is highly desirableWorking Conditions:Moving from docks to boats and vice versa, unstable & wet surfaces. Large drops (~4ft) down to vessels & back up to dock.Stand for long periods of timeOutside elements workplace (Heat, Rain, Cold, general extreme weather elements)Work in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floatingWork near and on the waterSafely move on, off and in vessels during various tide and weather conditionsThe anticipated pay for this position is $35.00 hourly.In addition to the hourly rate, this position is eligible to participate in Brunswick’s high-quality benefit offering of a 401k (up to 4% match).Why Brunswick:Whatever tomorrow brings, we’ll be at the leading edge.
