Supply Chain Specialist

Overview Work closely with logistical partners at sister sites and commercial partners on site to support the Logistics business area, including planning, sales and production forecasting on supply chain issues by analyzing and coordinating the US and global supply chain. Responsibilities Ensure the performance of the supply chain from order to shipment. Track inventory and orders and forecast future supply needs. Supervise a variety of employees and teams within the supply chain to ensure the overall process runs smoothly. Procurement: procure finished products, components, materials and tools for North American sites and monitor supplier performance. Attend and represent purchasing in internal and external audits. Inventory Management: maintain adequate inventory, scheduling and receiving shipments of material as well as finished products; oversee the inventory excess and obsolescence process. Reverse Logistics: coordinate the reverse logistics process including processing customer credit returns and returned goods shipments to the Central DC in Europe. Demand Planning: coordinate sales and operations with North America commercial partners and planning teams in Denmark and Poland; assess current orders and forecast future demand to provide adequate supplies; respond to changes in demand and resolve supply chain problems; communicate with suppliers and customers to maintain consistent order volume or order mix. Utilize systems and tools including AXAPTA/Navision, PowerQuery, QAD, Microsoft Office, Power BI, BI cubes, SQL servers and Tableau; manage multiple streams and overlapping projects; drive improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Maintain understanding of hearing aid manufacturing processes, QC/QA, credit returns, and service processes; perform all duties for supply chain management in the hearing aid industry; present results verbally and in writing. Education and Experience Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or 6 months of experience in the related occupation. Related Occupation Global Operations Graduate or similar role performing the following: Work closely with logistical partners to support capacity forecast planning and coordinate the global supply chain. Ensure supply chain performance from order to shipment; track inventory and forecast future supply needs; lead project teams to ensure deliverables and smooth processes. Procurement: monitor supplier performance on freight costs and support procurement in optimizing freight costs for North American sites; coordinate with firmware versions during firmware upgrades where applicable. Inventory Management: maintain adequate inventory and analyze inventory across sister sites; develop inventory monitoring tools. Reverse Logistics: support aftersales analyses of returns from sister sites to central distribution in Europe. Demand Planning: coordinate capacity planning with planning teams, assess orders, forecast demand, respond to changes, and communicate with suppliers and customers; use applicable ERP and BI tools.
