Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a detail-oriented  Drafting & CAD Technician to support engineering and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for creating accurate 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical seals and related components using CAD software . The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid mechanical understanding, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and production support needs.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software
• Ensure drawings are accurate, properly dimensioned, and meet tolerancing requirements
• Select correct finish stock numbers and manufacturing data for production
• Provide technical support to departments including production, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and materials control
• Maintain and organize technical files, drawings, and engineering documentation
• Assist with calculations and technical information for customers and internal departments
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
• Work closely with team members to support production and engineering needs

Qualifications

• Experience with solid-based CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
• Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and techniques
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Professional communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
