Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
Location: Springfield, TN
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 days a week with every other weekend.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, particularly focused on post-operative orthopedic patients.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Conduct routine assessments and document patient status using Meditech Expanse.
- Perform blood transfusions and maintain IV and central lines.
- Collaborate with unit secretaries and techs to support patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
- Basic Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
- Experience with post-operative orthopedic patients is preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
