Key Responsibilities

Your role as an LCSW will encompass several crucial responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of students, developing personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices.
• Providing a range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques, adjusting your methods to fit the diverse needs of your clients.
• Maintaining electronic health records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality while adapting to emerging technologies.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising school staff, psychologists, and psychiatrists to ensure coordinated and effective care for students facing mental health challenges.
• Engaging in regular case consultations and peer reviews to promote continuous improvement in therapeutic approaches and outcomes.
• Educating both patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources, thereby fostering understanding and reducing stigma.
• Staying current with research developments in social work and mental health practices to enhance clinical effectiveness and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW at Wisdom Wave Mental Wellness, you will predominantly serve children and adolescents within the school system who are dealing with various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to social and behavioral challenges. You will be instrumental in creating a safe and supportive environment that enhances their well-being and academic performance.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, specializing in providing psychotherapy services to diverse age groups.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and practices, particularly in school settings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits
