Med-Surg RN Ortho

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical care to provide skilled nursing services on a 24-bed Medical Surgical-Ortho floor. The Registered Nurse will perform patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care. Strong communication, collaboration, and at least one year of relevant experience are essential for this role. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in medical-surgical nursing or related field.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in orthopedic nursing or related specialty.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience with electronic medical records systems.

Special Considerations:

• Work on a 24-bed Medical Surgical-Ortho floor with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
• Strong emphasis on teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Adherence to facility policies and protocols regarding patient care and safety.

Scheduling:

• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Shift assignments are based on unit needs and staffing requirements.
