Classification Title Adult Psychologist – CLIN AST/ASO PROF – Psychiatry Job Description The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville invites applications for an adult licensed psychologist. This position is a full-time faculty member at the non‑tenure accruing level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor or full professor. The role involves outpatient provision of evidence‑based assessment and treatment of adults (cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, trauma‑informed, interpersonal therapy, etc.) and/or psychological testing. Successful candidates must be committed to working with diverse adult community populations and ideally possess experience with psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups, grant writing, and teaching. Expertise at the doctoral level is beneficial for both patients and training programs. The position will be integral to the development of a psychology post‑doctoral fellowship program and involve participation in the training and education for the department’s general psychiatry residency and post‑doctoral fellowship programs. The incumbent will maintain a therapy caseload and provide clinical supervision and/or mentoring to master’s level therapists and therapists in training (LMHC or social work interns) to ensure current, evidence‑based practices are taught to our patient population. Opportunities exist for clinical research and teaching in associated residency/internship programs. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
