Senior Software Test Engineer

Abbott seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer to lead verification and validation efforts for Lingo, a health platform combining biosensor data and analytics. The role ensures product quality, regulatory compliance, and scalable delivery in a cloud and mobile environment within a regulated medical device setting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software verification for cloud services, mobile applications, and connected devices
• Develop and maintain verification plans, protocols, and reports compliant with FDA and ISO standards
• Design and implement scalable manual and automated testing strategies spanning multiple testing types
• Partner with product managers, architects, and developers to ensure testable, traceable requirements
• Mentor junior test engineers and drive continuous improvement in verification processes and automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years software verification and quality engineering experience
• 2+ years medical device software development under FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, IEC 62304
• Strong expertise in medical device V&V, defect management, requirements traceability
• Demonstrated test automation experience across mobile, web, API platforms
• Experience with modern CI/CD ecosystems (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Harness)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills

Compensation: $90,000.00 – $180,000.00 base
