We need your talent and expertise.TITLE: Employee Benefits AnalystDIVISION: EMPLOYEE BENEFITSREPORTS TO: VP of Client ServicesSTATUS: FULL-TIME; EXEMPTPOSITION SUMMARYThe Benefits Analyst plays a critical role in supporting large and enterprise-level employee benefits clients through data analysis, reporting, and presentation development. This position is responsible for preparing monthly reporting packages, analyzing claims and financial data, and developing high-quality client-facing materials that support strategic decision-making. In addition, the selected individual will also develop a program to address complex employer and employee contribution models.The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in Excel and alternative reporting tools, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and meaningful presentations for internal teams and clients.RESPONSIBILITIESESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Monthly Reporting & Data Analysis (Large and Enterprise Accounts)Prepare and maintain monthly claims and financial reporting for fully insured and self-funded clients.Update and manage reporting matrices using Excel-based reporting tools or recommend an alternative program.Analyze trends related to Medical and prescription drug claims, Enrollment changes, Large claimant activity, Plan performance vs. budgetValidate data accuracy and reconcile information across multiple sources.Identify and flag unusual claim activity or data discrepancies.Maintain historical reporting files and ensure consistency across reporting periods.Prepare annual benchmark reports for enterprise accounts.Presentation Development for Large & Enterprise ClientsDevelop client-facing reporting presentations using reporting data and financial summaries.Build and maintain standardized presentation templates for large and enterprise-level clients.Prepare materials used for Monthly reporting, Renewal strategy and Ad hoc claims reviewsTranslate complex data into clear visuals including:ChartsTrend summariesKey performance indicatorsExecutive-level summariesEnsure presentations are accurate, visually professional, and aligned with company branding standards.Claims and Financial Reporting SupportAssist in analyzing:Claims experienceStop-loss reportingAggregate performanceLarge claim activitySupport renewal and strategy discussions by providing data summaries and reporting insights.Work with internal teams to gather and validate carrier and vendor reporting data.Assist in developing custom reports based on client needs.Ensure reporting documentation and templates are properly stored and version-controlled.Assist in improving workflows and identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes.Client and Internal Team SupportCollaborate with Account Managers and Producers to prepare reporting deliverables.Provide analytical coaching and support during renewalWork with external actuaries to determine reasonableness of renewalsAssist in responding to client ad hoc reporting requests.Support special projects related to reporting, data analysis, and workflow improvements.Special Projects & Process ImprovementLead in departmental initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and automation.Assist with data cleanup and reporting standardization projects.Support development of new reporting templates and dashboards.Recommend improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and usability.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree in Business or FinanceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)Experience with reporting tools, data visualization and presentation software (PowerPoint)Ability to work with large datasets.Experience with claims reporting systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective written and verbal communicationAbility to present data clearly and professionallyCommitment to data accuracy and confidentialityThe base salary range for this role is $80,000–$95,000 [annually/hourly]. Actual compensation will be based on factors including location, skills, experience, and internal equity.
