Recreation Specialist

Open: August 4, 2026 — Closes: August 18, 2026 Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Recreation Fee Specialist at Joshua Tree National Park. The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of administrative duties that are associated with the management of fee revenue and/or donations collected from the public under the authority of Federal laws and regulations such as the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA). Major Duties Manage all aspects of a park-wide recreation fee program and their effect on overall program objectives, priorities, and milestones across multiple distinct fee operations. Coordinate with the business community to ensure their involvement, cooperation, and develop recommendations to improve the fee and revenue process. Key member of the national cadre of recreation fee program experts that regularly serve on Service wide task forces to develop program guidelines and make recommendations in changes in laws and regulations relating to rate establishment, etc. Direct audit program of fee collection, FFS entries, project expenditures, and cost of collection expenditures, deposits, and accountable stock. Manage a large staff on a park-wide basis involved in revenue and fee operations and associated activities. Directly supervises one GS-07/09/11 Recreation Fee Specialist, 2 GS-08 Supervisory Recreation Fee Technicians, and a GS-05/07 Administrative Assistant. #J-18808-Ljbffr
